Lithium dodecyl sulfate (LiDS) is an anionic surfactant with a molecular structure similar to the more common sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), but the cation part is lithium ion (Li⁺) instead of sodium ion (Na⁺). It can be used as a foaming agent, detergent, emulsifier, dispersant, and wetting agent.
1. Cleaning and emulsification under high temperature and special environment:
