Hydrocinnamic Acid, chemically called 3-phenylpropanoic acid, is a synthetic fragrance and organic intermediate with both aroma and functionality. Its aroma is characterized by a faint sweet and balsamic aroma and balsamic undertone (similar to slightly fermented honey). Although it is not as strong as aldehyde fragrances, it has unique value in fixative, antibacterial and material synthesis.
